For over twenty years, Christopher Chapman has served the judicial system in numerous capacities.  He has represented clients in serious criminal cases in state and federal court, including felony murder cases and death penalty defense. He has also represented clients in complicated civil and domestic relations matters at all levels of court and has been lead trial counsel for more than 100 jury trials.  In addition, he has authored appeals for the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Chapman is currently admitted to practice law in Georgia, Kentucky and the District of Columbia and is licensed at all levels of State and Federal Court, including the United States Supreme Court.  Since 2008, he has mentored numerous new attorneys into the practice of law as an Attorney Mentor, appointed by the Georgia Supreme Court.  His recent honors include being chosen as one of The National Trial Lawyers “Top 100” in 2016, and he was recognized as one of the “10 BEST” by American Institute of DUI Attorneys in 2015.

Mr. Chapman also has the experience of being a former prosecutor, a Magistrate Court Judge for Henry County, and a Municipal Court Judge for multiple jurisdictions. He has served as a Municipal Court Judge for more than 15 years and, in addition to those duties, he has served as a 6th District Representative for the Council of Municipal Court Judges.  Prior to his admission to the bar, Mr. Chapman spent six years in law enforcement and his assignments included the DUI Task Force/ Heat Unit, Serious Accident Investigation Unit and Special Response Team.  In addition, he obtained Instructor, Field Training Officer and Advanced Certifications and he has been utilized as an instructor for multiple law enforcement agencies, police academies, and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

 Mr. Chapman received a Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel, with honors, and he received his Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School. In addition, he has obtained certifications from both the University of Georgia and Emory University.

Mr. Chapman is very active in his community. He is a Past President of the Henry County Bar Association and a member the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the American Association of Trial Lawyers, and the Atlanta Lawyers Club.  In addition to professional organizations, he is a member of numerous social, charitable, genealogical, and fraternal organizations.
